However, ITU-T and IEEE still have differences in the choice of the next-generation industrial-grade PON technology route, and it is still difficult to reach a consensus in a short time.


The first is WDW-PON, which can significantly reduce the consumption of optical cable resources and reduce the cost of 5G fronthaul network construction. WDW-PON has obvious application advantages, large bandwidth, supports 10G and 25G rates per channel, and can meet the large bandwidth requirements of 5G fronthaul signals.
